082013-07Ori Held Pilot-Preview Campaign for Its New Animation BuffetScene cartoon Buffet, Ori's key animation of 2013 has been in the post-production stage, which will be formally distributed in this September. In order to make preparation for the distribution of Buffet, and have a better idea of market need and audience's feedback, Ori Animation held two pilot-preview campaigns to test market feedback by inviting pupils around third grade to watch. The first preview campaign invites some teachers and third-grade students from Weiting Experimentary Primary School. Audience burst into laughter when seeing Buffet, Luke and Douding making tricks. The atmosphere was full of happiness. After the preview, little audience expressed their approval and anticipation towards the characters and broadcasting. As to broaden the audience and have a deeper idea of the feedback, staff from Ori Animation took the pilots to Hanlin Elementary School and carried out the second preview. Over 200 students from third, fourth and fifth grade joined in the preview campaign. The campaign won warm feedback. In the interactive activities after the watch, pupils were eager to express their feelings and thinking towards the content. As to the feedback, audience at the age of 9-12 has the warmest feedback and is easy to be engrossed by the humorous stories. Meanwhile the exaggerating postures and fashion dialogue greatly draw audience's attention and anticipation. As to the serial shorts appeared at the end of each episode—the world's festivals, pupils are eager to guess and strive to join in. Buffet achieved well feedback from audience, which laid foundation for its distribution. It is believed that its future distribution will be smooth and lead to high watching ratio. 052013-07Ori Joined in Chinese Film Producer AssociationOn the afternoon of July 5th, National Cartoon Films Colloquium was held in Beijing. On the colloquium, executive director of Chinese Film Producer Association, Ming Zhenjiang declared the name of its first members and handed out certificates. This time there were 14 new members, and Ori Animation was the only one from Jiangsu that joined the association. Representative from Ori received the certificate. Chinese Film Producer Association was founded in May 1989 and joined in International Producer Association in 1993. In 2006 it was recommended the vice chairman institution of International Film Producer Association with a successive session of two. Now it owns 138 group members. It is the tie and bridge that links both Chinese government and National Film Producer Group, and provides a platform for Chinese film producers to get close to film market and the public. It is the service carrier and transaction platform for domestic films to enter into market. This time as the first enterprise member, Ori has made significant achievement on cartoon films which has won approval from the authority. After being a member, Ori will carry out more external communication to promote Chinese films with the help of the platform offered by the association. Meanwhile Ori will have a better idea of its responsibility and explore new fields for domestic cartoon films. 222013-06Crazy Selling of Happy Pet Store Led Reading Enthusiasm of Picture BooksThe first series of family picture books, Happy Pet Store was published in late April and in one month they drew warm attention from the market. By now the total sales volume has exceeded one third of the printed ones. The publication led a pet fever in the book stores nationwide. Happy Pet Store is targeted at kids of 6-12 and their parents. According to the marker feedback, most buyers were young parents. Their choice greatly promoted the increase of the sales volume. Many buyers said the reason why they chose to buy laid in the nice drawing design and exact capture of psychology between mothers and daughters. Meanwhile the funny and humorous fairy tales became the prior factor, too. They expressed they had deep thinking towards the communication between parents and kids. Meanwhile 2-D TV cartoon Happy Pet Store is under busy production, and it has been listed in the Best Pitch and catch Prize by China Animation Association. 182013-04Douya Farm Won the Second Prize of JS TV Art PrizeRecently heard from Jiangsu Provincial Radio, Film and Television Bureau, 40-episode 3-D TV cartoon Fantastic Vacation on Douya Farm won the second prize of Jiangsu TV Art Prize for Animation Programs in the Year of 2012 to 2013. The animation project tells pupil NI Xiangxiang unites with animals on the farm to beat the malicious merchant Shi Laiyun. It passes on the theme of staying with the nature in harmony. Fantastic Vacation on Douya Farm is the forth 3-D TV cartoon of Ori Animation, and it received distribution permit in June, 2012. It was recommended as the third batch of excellent domestic animation by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television in 2012, and was shortlisted in the forth Golden Cow Excellent Cartoon Prize at China Western Animation Culture Festival in 2012.Detailed updates →
