African English-Speaking Digital Cultural Industry Workshop Visits ORI

On the morning of June 26, 2024, participants of the "African English-Speaking Countries Digital Cultural Industry Workshop," hosted by Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China and guided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of People’s Republic of China, visited ORI for a study tour. Organized by the Central Academy of Culture and Tourism Administration, the workshop aimed to explore the development and cooperation opportunities in the digital cultural industry.

During the visit, the participants delved into ORI's innovative achievements and success stories in the digital cultural sector. Representatives from ORI's International Business Division introduced the company's business areas, including animation production, the application of digital technologies, international copyright collaborations, and the development of cultural and creative products. The presentation sparked great interest among the workshop attendees.

The two sides engaged in deep discussions on the future development of the digital cultural industry and the synergy between cultural and tourism industries. Participants expressed that ORI's experiences and practices offer valuable insights for the growth of the digital cultural sector in African English-speaking countries. They expressed a strong desire to strengthen cooperation with ORI to jointly drive the prosperity and development of the digital cultural industry, injecting new vitality into cultural exchanges and economic cooperation across Africa and the globe.

The workshop gathered senior officials and experts from countries and organizations such as South Africa, Ethiopia, and the African Union, highlighting the deepening cultural collaboration between China and Africa. It also underscored the growing interest and expectations of African English-speaking nations for advancing their digital cultural industries.
