From June 5 to 8, 2024, the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Chairman of ORI Group, Mr. Feng QIAN was invited to attend and delivered a speech at the Creative Industries Forum, delving into the prospects of international collaboration in the cultural and creative industries.

As the only representative from a Chinese cultural enterprise, Mr. Feng QIAN delivered a keynote titled "Crossing Boundaries," sharing ORI Group’s decade-long experience in international collaborations and highlighting the potential of China’s cultural and creative industries on the global stage.

In his speech, Mr. Qian addressed the tension between globalization and market independence within the industry:
“While the cultural industry is developing rapidly, markets in various countries and regions remain relatively independent, creating significant challenges in international collaboration.” To resolve this issue, he urged businesses worldwide to strengthen partnerships, overcome these obstacles, and achieve successful global cooperation.

Speaking on the role of international collaboration in enhancing national and regional soft power, Mr. Qian emphasized:
“The development of cultural industries must prioritize international cooperation. This not only helps project the international image of nations and regions but also boosts their soft power and global influence, while significantly promoting the growth of other industries.”

During the forum, Mr. Qian also gave interviews to major media outlets, including Russia Today and Sputnik News Agency, offering insights on the future of Sino-Russian cultural exchange and cooperation in film and animation. His views drew wide attention and praise from attendees, signaling a promising future for international collaboration in cultural and creative industries.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, first held in 1997, is one of Russia's most prominent international economic events. The 2024 forum, themed “Foundations of a Multipolar World: Formation of New Growth Centers,” welcomed representatives from over 100 countries and regions to discuss global economic issues and foster cooperation and development.

As a leader in China’s cultural export sector, ORI Group’s active participation at SPIEF showcased the unique charm of Chinese culture while offering fresh perspectives for global cultural collaboration. This event further deepened participants' understanding of the future trends in international cultural cooperation.

Guided by its philosophy of “Culture Leads, Exchange and Mutual Enhancement” ORI Group will continue to promote the integration of Chinese culture with global cultures, paving the way for deeper international partnerships and providing a broader platform for global cultural collaboration.
