Scene cartoon Buffet, Ori's key animation of 2013 has been in the post-production stage, which will be formally distributed in this September.
In order to make preparation for the distribution of Buffet, and have a better idea of market need and audience's feedback, Ori Animation held two pilot-preview campaigns to test market feedback by inviting pupils around third grade to watch.
The first preview campaign invites some teachers and third-grade students from Weiting Experimentary Primary School. Audience burst into laughter when seeing Buffet, Luke and Douding making tricks. The atmosphere was full of happiness. After the preview, little audience expressed their approval and anticipation towards the characters and broadcasting.
As to broaden the audience and have a deeper idea of the feedback, staff from Ori Animation took the pilots to Hanlin Elementary School and carried out the second preview. Over 200 students from third, fourth and fifth grade joined in the preview campaign. The campaign won warm feedback. In the interactive activities after the watch, pupils were eager to express their feelings and thinking towards the content.
As to the feedback, audience at the age of 9-12 has the warmest feedback and is easy to be engrossed by the humorous stories. Meanwhile the exaggerating postures and fashion dialogue greatly draw audience's attention and anticipation. As to the serial shorts appeared at the end of each episode—the world's festivals, pupils are eager to guess and strive to join in.
Buffet achieved well feedback from audience, which laid foundation for its distribution. It is believed that its future distribution will be smooth and lead to high watching ratio. Let's have a happy school time with Buffet this semester.
