On September 5, 2025, Ori Group announced the official opening of its office in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. This milestone marks the Group’s full-scale entry into the Central Asian market and represents a significant step forward in its global strategic expansion.

Since 2023, Ori Group has been actively exploring opportunities in the Central Asian market. Following multiple on-the-ground assessments and evaluations, Tashkent was selected as the preferred location for the regional office.

To facilitate the launch of the Tashkent office, Chairman of Ori Group Qian Feng led a delegation to Uzbekistan, meeting with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Youth Development Center, the Tourism Committee, the National Film Agency, and the Economic Committee. The delegation also visited the National Film Studio and the Film Museum. Discussions focused on potential cooperation in digital technology, co-producing animated works, tourism development, cultural events, and talent exchange. The visit not only expanded communication channels and strengthened consensus, but also laid a solid foundation for practical cooperation between China and Uzbekistan across multiple industries, further deepening cultural exchange.

Expanding Multi-Sector Cooperation: Building a Central Asian Collaboration Hub

The establishment of the Tashkent office is both the outcome of Ori Group’s in-depth research and long-term engagement in Central Asia, and a key initiative in expanding the cultural cooperation network under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Notably, this strategic move complements Ori Group’s April 2025 upgrade of its Riyadh office into its Middle East regional headquarters, underscoring Ori Group’s commitment to strengthen its global cooperation system.

As Ori Group’s permanent base in Central Asia, the Tashkent office will act as a hub for execution, coordination, and expansion of regional collaboration. Moving forward, it will focus on film and media content, talent exchange, tourism promotion, educational cooperation, and international events—building a multi-dimensional platform for collaboration, unlocking regional potential, and fostering cross-border synergy across Central Asia.

Deepening Practical Cooperation to Advance ChinaUzbekistan Cultural Exchanges

The launch of the Tashkent office is not only a new chapter in Ori Group’s business development, but also a vivid example of cultural connectivity under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). It will serve as a vital bridge for deeper integration of culture, tourism, and the creative industries between China and Uzbekistan. By promoting cooperation in film, tourism, education, intangible cultural heritage, and cultural events, the office will create more opportunities for enterprises, institutions, and young talents. Meanwhile, it will foster mutual learning between Chinese culture and Central Asian civilizations.

Looking ahead, Ori Group will continue to leverage its global perspective resources through the Tashkent office to deepen cooperation with countries across Central Asia. It will introduce more high-impact cultural and industrial projects, keep cultural exchange at the heart of its mission and promote cross-regional cooperation. Ori Group aims to write a new chapter in win-win partnerships along the BRI and contribute cultural strength to the building of a shared future for humanity.
