ORI GROUP was invited to take part in the 11th Conference of the Sub-committee of Sino-Russian Media Cooperation in Rostov-on-Don, Russia on August 29th.

The conference was co-organized by the Department of International Cooperation, SARFT and the Ministry of Digital Development Communications and Media of Russia. Mr. Fan Weiping, Deputy Director of SARFT who is the chairman of the Sub-committee from the Chinese side, and Mr. Alexey Volin, Deputy Minister of Digital Development Communications and Media of Russia who is the chairman of the Sub-committee from the Russian side, both delivered the keynote address and signed a series of Meeting Minutes.

The conference reviewed and summarized the work and achievements of media communication & cooperation between China and Russia from 2017 to 2018, drew up a plan about the media cooperation from 2018 to 2019 which would match up the activities of the China-Russia Year of Local Cooperation & Exchanges.

In order to promote the practical media cooperation between China and Russia, the conference specially added the segment of communication and display. Mr. Feng QIAN, President of ORI GROUP delivered a speech which introduced ORI’s successful cooperation with Russian media enterprises in the past few years, including the animated feature film POLAR ADVENTURE’s theatrical release and the live-action WORLD CUP OF ASSASSIN’s shooting in Russia. He expressed his desire to distribute ORI’s new titles with Russian media enterprises and also invited them to co-produce the latest IP RETURN 2 and HOCKEY KING, which received warm responses from the Russian companies.

ORI GROUP has built up the global network of animation industry cooperation and content distribution which covers more than 100 countries at present, with special attention to the cooperation with countries along the route of The Belt and Road. ORI will contribute for more cooperation in production and distribution with international players, strengthen the exchanges of works and cultures between China and the rest of the world, and build a bridge to the world for Chinese Film & TV as well as Chinese culture.
